Let us share some words about our Award designations.
There are no rigid and precise rules about how a contest is to designate its winners.
Art especially is the most subjective field where one can base an opinion on feelings, the impression it leaves within, the inner thinking and imagination it provokes or the way it transports to other invisible or imaginary landscapes. But this is all right, all artists know this and exactly this is what they want to reach with their work. They wish to touch the audience and public, they wish to transport the viewer into that unique realm where they created their visionary art. But our judges will also consider the way the artists applied their technique, how genuine and authentic their “voice” is, how delicate the artistic expression, and how the message comes through the image.
And of course the potential of the work to gain a wider audience in the worldwide market is important as well.
- We constructed our contest so that only one artwork per category may be designated “Winner.”
But we shall announce a Grand Prize Winner” as well for the most outstanding and remarkable artwork that shines the most beautifully with its message, uniqueness and artistic expression, even though the categories cannot be easily compared.
However, often there is more than one piece of art in a category that truly stands out, and we believe these deserve recognition also. That’s why we would like to announce a “Finalist or Runner-up” in each category and list the “Honorable mentions” as well which are also precious artworks with valuable messages, important spiritual insights and beauty to offer to the world.
Moreover we will announce our People’s Choice Award which is one of the greatest honor because that means that the public itself, our hundreds or thousands of viewers found that certain artwork the most beautiful and influential.
So you can be sure that to be recognized as Winners, Finalists and Honorable mentions, and above all People’s Favourite is a high honor and something about which any artist can be deeply proud of.
- It is also important to let you know that we do not publish the names of the judges to respect their privacy, but they are all deeply familiar with and experts in spiritual literature, visionary and fantasy art. Judges reserve the right to re-categorize entries and their decision is final.
Please note that judges consider submissions on an ongoing basis, comparing early entries with later submissions. Thus it can happen that some late submissions will win our competition, while we do not forget about the early birds either. On our Public Vote page always the latest entries can seen on the top the page but all registered images can be seen by using the Next and Previous buttons.
- In the end we would like to note that we can announce winners in those categories only in which at least 2 or 3 images have been subscribed. So it can happen that we need to re-categorize your artwork to give more chance to it in the competition.
- We will notify each entry via e-mail on the arrival of his or her entry package and will announce the winning entries on our web site and by e-mail after the judging is complete and after the date for submissions is closed for the year.
Please know that if you do not receive an e-mail for the date of the winners’ announcement, this probably means that unfortunately you are not on the award list, but you can still try next year.
Thank you for your understanding!
